Melissa Montaño

Los Angeles native, Melissa Montaño earned her BM in Vocal Performance from Chapman University. She is currently the lead high voice singer for AIDA cruises from 2023-2025 and performing ABBA, Queen, 80’s, and musical shows along with solo repertoire. She is known for her vocal versatility, consistency, and high belts. In 2022, Melissa performed the role of Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro in Croatia. She has also performed the roles of La Ciesca from Gianni Schicchi and La Maestra delle Novizie from Suor Angelica. In 2019 she appeared as the soprano soloist in Mozart’s Requiem as well as the mezzo-soprano soloist in Edward Elgar’s The Music Makers in 2018. Melissa has been a member of Glendale Opera Company since 2017-2023 and has performed various scenes of musical theater and opera. Since the pandemic, she has utilized her time to expand her performance repertoire and versatility, booking her first audition with AIDA cruises. In 2023, Melissa performed concerts in England, including Blenheim Palace. She enjoys performing as a singer who dances and loves to learn songs in other languages.
